Metec UK Awarded Anode Supply for Statoil Peregrino II Project

Metec UK has been awarded the contract to supply sacrificial anodes for the jacket foundation of the Statoil Peregrino II project.

Metec will provide approximately 500 tonnes of Stand-Off Anodes and Flush Mounted Anodes for the jacket structure of Statoil Peregrino. Additionally, a small quantity of pipeline anodes will be supplied for the riser. All jacket anodes will feature fully welded doubler pads, following AWS D1.1 standards. The production phase will last for three months, with the project set to complete in early summer 2018.

The Peregrino jacket will stand at 135 metres tall, cover a footprint of 66 x 53 metres, and weigh 9,300 tonnes (excluding the 12 piles). The project’s estimated recoverable resources until 2040 are 250 million barrels.
