Metec UK have supplied Stand Off Aluminium Anodes for the anode cages for The Hornsea One Offshore Wind Farm Foundations while Metec Tunisia were awarded the supply of stand off and pile cluster anodes for the 4 x Offshore Substation Jacket Foundations.

Installation of the four offshore substations is scheduled to commence in the second quarter of 2018.

All other offshore works, such as the installation of foundations and inter-array cables, are currently scheduled to commence in early 2018, DONG said.

Once operational in 2020, Hornsea Project One will become the largest offshore wind farm in the world, consisting of up to 174 turbines. The Siemens 7MW turbines will be located 120km off the Yorkshire coast, covering an area of approximately 407km2.
