Metec UK & Metec Tunisia Awarded Hornsea OWF and OSS Anode Supply

Published by admin on

Metec UK and Metec Tunisia have received two significant contracts for supplying anodes to major offshore wind projects. Metec UK will provide Stand-Off Aluminium Anodes for the anode cages at Hornsea One Offshore Wind Farm Foundations. Meanwhile, Metec Tunisia will supply stand-off and pile cluster anodes for the four Offshore Substation Jacket Foundations.

Installation of the four offshore substations will begin in the second quarter of 2018. Other offshore works, including foundation installation and inter-array cables, will commence in early 2018.

Once operational in 2020, Hornsea One will become the world’s largest offshore wind farm. It will feature up to 174 Siemens 7MW turbines, located 120km off the Yorkshire coast, spanning an area of approximately 407km². We’re proud to have supplied their Offshore Wind Farm Anodes.

These contracts highlight Metec’s role in the global push for renewable energy. With our experience and dedication, we are proud to support such major projects that contribute to a sustainable future.
